I am so obsessed with Sally Hansen's newish salon manicure bottle of nail polish, in shade commander in chic. It is so pretty and has an incredible sheen to it. I keep putting it on every week, and when I decide to change my nail color, I always take it off the next day and put on the commander in chic shade again because it looks so perfect and is a great neutral color for fall/winter! I love the gray/purple hue that comes out on my nails, and it finishes so well that it looks very similar to a salon manicure. The color looks different in different lights, and is comparable to Chanel quality and color. I am loving the color of commander in chic, and so are many other consumers!

Favorite Fashion Decade: The 50's
I love the 50's. It was a time of elegance and beauty. I love Vintage Dior, and the old black and white photos. I am inspired by the makeup from that time, and the lustrous lipsticks that women wore.

When Science Meets Technology Meets Fashion
As an avid runner, I have a connection with my running shoe. I choose Asics for quality running shoes, because they are well designed and I like the look and feel of the shoe. The design is sleek, and comes in many different colors. This video is very interesting to me, especially since I depend on those shoes to run long distances. It is like wearing a cloud on my feet, the cushion is unbelievable. It is amazing when science is engineered into fashion, providing a product that sells well and bonds with consumers, creating customer loyalty and brand equity. I know that if I am wearing Asics, I will look good while working out, feel comfortable, and not have to worry about sore muscles after a strenuous workout. These babies can take me as far as ten miles without feeling pain in my feet, something that other sneakers do not measure up to, especially without the cushy gel at the bottom, which aesthetically makes the shoes look more serious and interesting. It sells a lifestyle of fit. I love Asics!
I also think that they have very well done and inspirational advertising campaigns that bond with runners and resonate with consumers, as shown in the ad below.

Killer Studs
To my dismay, I did not have my camera at the time and it was a very quick moment, but I managed to snap a couple of blurry pictures with my phone of four of the most awesomely dressed hardcore punk rockers from London! Everything was so detailed from head to toe, to the color of their hair, to their perfect leather jackets with artfully studded backs, and drawn out letters. These guys had such amazing style, and were obviously in a rock band called Broken Bones.

Combat Boots are Back!
Combat boots are everywhere this fall, and have been spotted on nearly every Parsons student. Paired with black jeans or leggings, this style looks great on everyone and is perfect for the fall weather. The style looks cute in traditional black, or cognac brown leather. The combat boot style looks great with a flat sole, or wedge heel.

Trend On the Street: The Across The Shoulder Clutch Bag
This fall, every girl depends on her across the shoulder clutch bag to hold her essentials as she walks through the streets of New York. The convenient long strap fits perfectly across our bodies and keeps our valuable items secure and at ease, without straining our backs. It is just big enough to hold a wallet, metro card, and cell phone. The style can also be seen in medium sizes, which entail more expensive materials such as leather for students in need of a sturdy across the shoulder bag to hold their books. Obviously, these bags can be worn in a couple of ways. They are bags designed to be worn across the shoulder due to the longer strap, but can be worn just over the shoulder, like the girl in the third picture below. I have noticed that many girls are embracing the across the shoulder look to spice up and add something extra to an outfit. This is a look that both trendy and non trendy girls and women can pull off, and is quite commonly seen throughout all neighborhoods of New York and beyond. The trend can be obtained through brand name and non brand name designers and stores.
